Has anyone had any luck having a flat screen tv repaired or are they throw away tvs now? Four year old 48 inch Panasonic. Watching it last night and it went "plink" and everything went black and no sound.

That's what I assumed but there is a local place that advertises that they are an authorized Panasonic repair center and they give free estimates so I'm going to find what they say first.
