I'm thinking about getting a smoker here soon. What should I be looking for as far as brand and quality and all that stuff. I figure you and @IVE GOTTA PACKAGE 4U would be the guys to ask

How much do you want to spend?

According to Johnnyfootball the Akorn smoker is all that and a bag of chips. I'm planning on getting one this spring.

They are great. And, they are about $300 at Lowe's, sometimes a little less at Walmart. But, they are steel, and won't last forever. Mine will be three years old this spring, and I'm starting to see a little rust around the top of the ash pan. Nothing serious, but something to watch.
