I used to keep a mug of water handy, and there were usually ice machines available to keep ice in it. The big thing now is YETI mugs. they are real efficient and will keep ice all day long or night, cold things cold and hot things hot, but they are expensive, $40.00 for a 30 oz tumbler.

yep, and you couldn't find them anywhere during Christmas, in stores or on the internet at $40. that's why I'm so high on the rtic. $20.00, free shipping, and they will keep ice all day.

there are multiple tests on youtube. they are amazing. My wife takes one with her to work. she complains it keeps her coffee TOO hot. lol. then she switches over to Dr. pepper after her coffee runs out. she loves hers.

Hmm. I might have to get one of those. The gas station I get my drink from has crushed ice (the best!) and used to have styrofoam cups. Ice would last til about 2:00. Now they've switched to plastic cups. Not happy. Lol.

Sometimes, when I'm out running around, I will stop by a sonic after 2pm and get a half price diet coke, and sonic has the best ice. I will just pour out my water, pour in the coke and I'm good the rest of the day.

I would recommend getting the optional coffee lid (it has a little trap door that slides open and shut to prevent spillage, for like 5 or 6 bucks extra.
