I think it has to do with the "la tee da" factor. Not only do you eat it you have to brag about it to your friends the next day.

Lobster is a favorite of mine. They always feed me for free in Vegas .....I always go to The Broiler and have surf and turf.......
The Broiler is inside Boulder Station.......one of the 2 higher end restaurants there.
There are like 10 other places to eat in there too.
