I snagged a lawnmower with a free sign on it about 10 years ago. The guy said it didn't run. I replaced a broken sparkplug and it was as good as new. A friend who works at a big box store told me that 75% of the mowers that are returned "because they don't run" have been started without the customer adding the quart of oil that comes with a new one. Another 20 % are just out of gas.
