Yep. Oil consumption problem in the new (redesigned) engines. Subaru is stepping up to the plate and fixing the problem.

Trust me, the wife has zero interest in that team.

It's a problem with the surface finish on the oil control rings on the newer engines. Scores the cylinders, and bingo-new short block.
