I don't mind spiders, snakes or mice, but those things (palmetto bugs) scare the crap out of me. They're huge! Want to see me lose it? Put one down in front of me.

When they run across a hard wood floor, they sound like a mouse.

My old cat used to run and hide if one got in the house...she tried to attack a coral snake (in FL) once...I had to grab her before she got bit...but a flying roach....she'd haul azzz and hide....lol
