Nurses forum group degrades UPS drivers and our salary

Their's an online website specifically for the nursing community, just like brown cafe is for UPS drivers. The post from this lady, and comments from other nurses clearly show the lack of respect and knowledge they have towards our job. They don't think we deserve our salary, and their jobs are of more importance and deserving of better pay. Couple UPS drivers replied on the forum as well. Here is the link, it's pretty entertaining

I can understand where they come off thinking that. They're in the business of keeping people alive and comfortable as possible when things go bad. They probably don't realize that a lot of the stuff they rely on to do their job comes from people like us. As such, they are blissfully ignorant

My ex is an RN and we have had this discussion many times. It does seem odd that she saves lives while I deliver QVC to hoarders yet for most of our marriage I made more than she did.

ummm I don't know...Maybe open up the lines of communication...? Maybe have people check out the link and get a kick out of it like I did ? Relax guy. If you have nothing good to say why say anything at all? Just keep it moving then.

My wife is a nurse. Granted she's advance practice now but your average floor nurse isn't saving lives.

The question is do you want a nurse standing over you when you need help or a ups driver with a package? No offense but I would prefer the nurse.

That really depends it's hard to lump all nurses together depending on where they work. But how would a nurse stabilize a patient? They aren't allowed to order drugs...
