Anyone know the details if a driver in Mass. were to miss a few weeks with an off work injury? Would there be any disability payments?

I would think if you file for disability with the state that you would get paid. It may take a few weeks for the check to arrive. Call your local to see if they need you to fill out any paperwork.

I'm from Cali, and yes they do. On every check you pay into it so don't feel guilty about using it.

Depends on your state disability laws. In California the limit is 52 weeks.

You should have received a benefits card from your local that includes a phone number for Health and Welfare.

Call that number on Monday and ask. That person will be able to answer with way more clarity than someone from California.

Union pays disability and then check and see if you can file for unemployment in your state when UPS can't offer you light duty. Enjoy missing some peak time.
