How far are you backing in to launch & recover your boat? You might want to rethink that.
My small town's launching ramp faces open ocean.
So it depends on how high the ocean swells are on any given day.
Some days I can't even launch my rowboat because it's too rough on the ramp.

Enel X Way North America, which owns EV charger brand JuiceBox, is closing down its electric vehicle business in the US and Canada and will shut off connectivity services for commercial and home hardware. In a statement posted on the JuiceBox website, the company said it will close down on October 11th, but it’s turning off all customer support lines “effective immediately.”
If you own a JuiceBox charger at home, you’ll soon lose all connectivity with the app, but it will still charge your EV without the features.

Tesla has once again recalled its Cybertrucks. This is the fifth time the futuristic truck has been recalled since it became available in November.
The recall affects more than 27,000 trucks. The Associated Press reported the truck’s rearview camera may not turn on when shifting into reverse. It may take up to 8 seconds for the image to appear. The federal government requires the image to appear within 2 seconds.
The company released a software update to correct the issue and Cybertruck owners will receive letters in the mail after Nov. 25 alerting them to the issue.

Rivian Automotive has lowered its annual production guidance by up to 10,000 vehicles due to an ongoing parts shortage, according to an Oct. 4 securities filing.

The electric vehicle maker said there’s a supply issue with a shared component on its R1 and RCV platforms that started in Q3. The ongoing shortage, which is affecting production, has become “more acute” in recent weeks, Rivian wrote in the filing.

Rivian now expects to manufacture between 47,000 and 49,000 vehicles in 2024, down from the 57,000 units it anticipated earlier this year.

Consumer Reports has finally weighed in on Elon Musk's polarizing reinvention of the pickup truck.
After just two weeks of driving the Cybertruck, a test driver was warned that the vehicle's traction control, electronic stability control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning system and cruise control were all inoperable.
Concerns about the Cybertruck's safety lapses don't stop here, as the Consumer Reports review stated that its visibility is 'abysmal.'
'With the exception of the straight-ahead view out the windshield, the Cybertruck's visibility is abysmal,' according to the review. 'Look to the left or right and your view will be blocked by thick pillars surrounding the windshield.'
When the driver looks back, the review says, the buttresses that frame the bed create 'large blind spots to the sides.'
And when the automated bed cover is closed, it covers up the rear window, making it impossible to see out the back except through the rear-view camera.
