Option days on forced days

I’m currently a cover driver, Tuesday-Sat, and I am aware that they can force me to work 6 days a week in the Southern Supplement. That isn’t an issue, I don’t mind working 6 days a week most of the time.
Last contract, I wasn’t able to come in on a certain forced Monday, and I told my supervisor I’ll just use an option day. He responded telling me per the contract he is not allowed to use an option day on my scheduled off day. This go around, I went out of town over the weekend. I told them to use option days Tuesday and Wednesday (I have 3 left), and that I wouldn’t be able to make it on Monday. They ended up putting an option day in for Monday too. I’ve looked in the contract but can’t seem to find anything regarding forced 6th punch rules for option days. Is there any truth to what the previous supervisor told me about not being able to use an option day for a forced 6th punch? Any input is appreciated!!

***Either way is fine with me, if they can in fact use an option day and I need off before the year’s up I can take a write up. Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything regarding the topic!

You were probably coded as Monday - Friday that week because of peak. Most cover drivers here are all Monday- Friday now because they are forcing them all 6 days anyways.

You can't use an option day for a day you're not scheduled to work but they will give you a warning letter for not working on a day you're not scheduled to work. It's common sense.

Right 😂😂 I mean either way you look at it it’s the same in reality. Use an option day this time and not get wrote up, or keep the option day and get wrote up. Doing it this way just allows me to take 3 more days under one write up if I want to after Christmas hahahaa

Really? Here it hasn’t changed. Tuesday-Saturday can still have Monday off and off they work it’s double time. I’m in Nor Cal.
