Panel hearing for termination

His BA should be able to request point of knowledge from LP. A email from apple or where ever informing them of who has activated the watch.
The B.A. should also look into the left bldg time.

Would there be a paper trail if the 9:12 status was altered? .. also any trail from deleting subsequent updates?

I know from personal experience that even UPS internal status updates can change/disappear. I just don't know if a trail is created.

Is it possible the package contents (minus the watch) was processed as damage overgoods and returned to Apple? Labels and boxes are often destroyed in large hubs. Could the B.A. request a list of overgoods returned to Apple for that week? If the phones were returned, a clerk, supervisor or loader would be a likely suspect and would strengthen the driver's case.

I worked 43 years at UPS before I retired. I was a steward for at least half of those years, so I have pretty much seen it all. I once had a part time sup that later became a driver. One day I saw him looking at a watch from a box that broke open. I told him to put it back in the box and stop looking at it because UPS likes to set people up with packages that "broke open." He looked at me with amazement. His nickname was powder.
Um
Are you blowing smoke up our a....?

it only seems that way because its not the complete story.. I can look at an Apple Store box and immediately know its one of several things and everything apple is $$$$. No matter what was in that box it was pay day. The OP knows the guy. The guy works within the hub. The guy he bought it from online was a fake account more than likely set up to give some backfill story in case UPS started catching on.

UPS gets the lost/stolen package request, launches investigation because its internal. Asks Apple/Carrier to notify them ASAP once its activated. Stolen watch stays dormant for more than a few weeks. UPS driver "buys" watch, activates it and alarms go off. UPS is notified and they have no identified a party plausibly responsible for the theft of that package.

Do any of you honestly believe CORP deletes videos after 30 days? And do you honestly believe for a second ATT/APPLE didnt report this package lost/stolen after just a few days? There's footage.. I'd be EXTREMELY SURPRISED if there wasnt. I hate the guy lost his job for a silly ass apple watch since they're crap anyhow.. Its hard to throw a career down the drain for something so goofy. That said, people do stupid stuff all the time. Either this an extreme case of HORRIBLE luck or he's just fishing on what to expect at the hearing.

PS: Im not Union lol.
Man listen, I didn’t take a package and I sure as hell didn’t know the guy besides seeing his post. Saw him selling another phone and I messaged him again for a receipt.
Exactly, especially if you are a driver raking in the big bucks,.
The red product was sold out at Apple & att near me that’s why I grabbed it on marketplace

Personally I'd also be pulling my bank records for the withdrawal of funds to show that you did in fact pay for it. That along with the txt communication and any phone records should show evidence that you did in fact buy it. This evidence should carry some weight at panel.
Pulled both my bank records and gave them to labor & LP. My union didn’t want me to just like they didn’t want me giving my watch or phone for them to go thru but i ain’t got anything to hide so search away

So I am confused...did you post on marketplace looking for a red Apple watch, and he answered back:
OR
Did he post and you saw his post?

Just prepping you for panel.

Now you see how they could use this thread against you.

No. I was on marketplace looking for the red Apple Watch and he was quickest to answer back

Trailer sweep is a cake walk
It's unfortunate what is happening to you if you are in fact innocent. If you happen to make it out of this, consider this a lesson. Don't take chances on electronics knowing how the Company is on theft. A lot of the deals you see on new electronics on marketplace, craigslist, OfferUp without a receipt are stolen. Either from a store, hub or "fell off of a truck". You make good money. Buy it at the Apple store or make sure to get a receipt. When I conduct transactions of high cost, I do it at the lobby of a police station. Always!!!

If I were on the panel, I would not believe you.

You had a working Apple Watch.. but it was worth $450 more to have a red one!

You happen to show up with stolen property … at the location that the property was stolen from!

If you didn’t steal it, I would at least think you knew who did, and got it from them.

Every criminal has a story to try to explain away the crime, with varying levels of plausibility.

I just hope they make this particular incident a movie that gets put up on UPS University for training lol.. Im betting that Corp is reading this thread going ":censored2: THEYRE ON TO US!!!!" If you listen closely, several process change requests were just filed to alter the "theft fishing" tactics to fish out unethical drivers lol..

Btw OP, just tell them who you bought the watch from within the hub.. You know who it is.. UPS already knows who it is. By you covering for him, you're losing your integrity that UPS expects that you have to work here as a driver. If you cant do that, tell your buddy thanks for costing you your career. Good luck at panel but sadly I doubt youre getting through it unscathed. But do us a favor, let us know exactly how it played out. I'm truly invested in this one lol.

It's ALWAYS hysterical when someone who works at UPS does something that UPS has seen MILLIONS of times and thinks they can outsmart UPS.

Every couple years, a group of people (including management) get caught stealing.... by changing address labels.

Some things don't change.

You had a working Apple Watch.. but it was worth $450 more to have a red one!

You happen to show up with stolen property … at the location that the property was stolen from!

What a coincidence.

Someone randomly buys a new watch on the internet.... that was stolen from the place they work.

And then, trades their other one for a case of beer and a bottle of whiskey ?

This has to be a troll thread.
