Part Timers Don’t deserve $25

Eh most of the time it’s my Pre Loader that does it. It is what it is, and I understand it. They start them way too late and try to push way too much volume at the end of the day. It’s a giant 💩 sandwich that rolls downhill.
Plus you have the PT sup/trainer who was hired a month ago training new hires. It all falls back on management.

How many are off the street hires or covid babies that spent 6 months in preload?

Sound like a bunch of managers.
I'm precovid, not by much. Peak 2019. Never spent a day as a pt'r. I know I would never want to do it and thankful I didn't. That's why I don't get upset with misloads. Still 9 is excessive and I'm north of everyone in my loop so I have to run them unless it puts me over 9.5

Just gonna be honest here, its a part time job for a reason. Why should they make equal pay? If you want to make more money, then why are you doing a part time job? Also, is it really that hard to load and unload trailers? It’s basically grunt work, and you should make accordingly. 21 is more than good enough for what they do
Going to buck public opinion and call a spade a spade - you’re an @$$ and a shill for Tome.

you can't really train away misloads

you can add complexity to the PAL or the load setup to encourage greater attention, but short of rolling back to alpha load charts or giving everyone scanners again, misloads can't be reduced by any means known to UPS

Even if we slowed the belts down and increased the Preload staff? Not with more PT sups but actual experienced and well motivated Union members?

speed or staffing wouldn't make much of a difference, just more people bull:censored2:ting on the belt

FT employees who get to know the actual streets (increasing load complexity) would help but only as far as the dispatch stayed the same

also it's funny that you disagree with me on being able to train away misloads, you are literally in lockstep with the ops managers and c-suite execs who think they can be trained away

you should put your letter in for management, you'd fit right in

Have part time sups fetch misloads on road. Watch how fast misloading becomes top priority.

That would be great, but according to you, you can’t even get driver to come to work. What would motivate people?

16 misloads on my truck yesterday. Delivered 10 of them the other six had to be missed. Customer service is suffering. Sure my bank account is getting better, but this is not very good.

Many People complain about the miss loads for a different reason than I am. Usually. By the time I start delivering them I’m making a dollar per minute if they want me to deliver them that’s fine. The problem is there so many now they’re not getting delivered. there’s not enough time and they’re too far away, businesses are closed before the driver can get them

Service suffers and all we provide is a service. My wallet might get fat, but this is not a very good long-term solution to keeping customers, and providing a superior surface that should set us apart from other service providers.

Having a nonhostile work environment would go a long way to improving employee motivation.

Cry me a River that’s the funniest part of this job! The louder they yell, and the more they complain the slower I go. It would be boring otherwise you’ve been here 40 years. It’s always been this way you didn’t quit.. and I’m sure they weren’t giving you Hugs either.

I have NOT been lurking

22.5 combo:
-4 inside
-4 meeting drivers for misloads
