Is there a reason why UPS is not paying their employees before the holiday? Every employer that I have worked for paid you before the holiday.

Why should they? This is UPS, not every other company you worked for.

Is Friday a holiday?

Yes we are paid holiday pay Thursday and Friday

He's saying Black Friday is not a Federal holiday it's a former company holiday that's it. Unless you normally get paid on Thursday, you're not getting it this Thursday since UPS is open and the banking system is open.
