Never. Ever. Do that.Oh ok. He didn't say he took back the boxes. I thought he left them. A lot of guys will leave the pkgs and come back later to get the check.
Doesn't matter. Driver didn't follow procedure. Some folks on here miss that part.Doesn't anybody press charges? Folk go to jail for that.
Hey CS, make what up? If you don't follow procedure, it CAN lead to you being fired. I've seen it. This includes cod etc. You may not pay for the pkg. out of your check but out of your career. Quit being inanely an obtuse JA. DA.Read the contract. Quit making stuff up dumb*
Back in the day, a call to the center had a ORS/Mgr. meet you on area to pick that money up. And I delivered to a nice area. They gladly did this. With my gun shops being strictly cash only there were many days I would be carrying over $10,000.

If the shipper wants to cheap out and only put the COD tag on one package that is all on them. Leave all the paid packages and bring back the one with COD the next day. If the customer decides he doesn't want to pay that isn't your problem.Proceed with caution in doing this. We all know that different rules apply at every building at the company, in these parts NR1 is strictly a disposition for call tags.
We were always taught to collect on the package with the COD amount on the service label. The shipper is skirting the additional handling charges applied by UPS when they do not apply COD charges to each individual package.
This is precisely what I am saying. If the shipper wants to cheap out and only put the COD tag on one package that is all on them. Leave all the paid packages and bring back the one with COD the next day. If the customer decides he doesn't want to pay that isn't your problem.
I didn't miss that. It just seems to me we are letting people getting away with this stuff. It's like all the credit card fraud now, part of the problem is the credit card companies not going after these people.Doesn't matter. Driver didn't follow procedure. Some folks on here miss that part.
So, if the pkg says 1 of 5 etc.. you just ignore that? Interpreting the shippers intent is fraught with peril. I'd at least make a phone call and let mgt. decide. Always do that in dicey(expensive) scenarios. If the shipper wants to cheap out and only put the COD tag on one package that is all on them. K. With all respect....not our problem.I didn't miss that. It just seems to me we are letting people getting away with this stuff. It's like all the credit card fraud now, part of the problem is the credit card companies not going after these people.
Back in the day the chances of someone even being at my building between about 9:30 am and 4 pm were slim and noneBack in the day, a call to the center had a ORS/Mgr. meet you on area to pick that money up. And I delivered to a nice area. They gladly did this.
It doesn't matter if the pkg say 1 of anything. As far as UPS is concerned every package is 1 of 1 and treated independently. So, if the pkg says 1 of 5 etc.. you just ignore that? Interpreting the shippers intent is fraught with peril. I'd at least make a phone call and let mgt. decide. Always do that in dicey(expensive) scenarios.

Not sure what integral is.....but If the cod said 1of several, they didn't get didly until the check. Shrug.Yes, we just ignore that, as instructed by top-of-the-line leaders put in charge of developing our package drivers at integrad. Go to sleep, your B driver is going to need a nap soon.
Not your call. why would it matter to you anywayI still don't understand why everything isn't paid for prior to delivery but businesses on my route use regular checks all the time.
I won't accept regular checks from resis though.
Shoe stores are used to launder drug money
Those main street type routes with hair salons, record shops, and clothing stores would have you walking around with $1000's in cash some days.
