2pm in the afternoon and was still raging at 10pm at night, in Sanford, Kansas.
The picture was captured by professional storm-chaser Roger Hill during this year's hurricane season.

Looks suspiciously like an atomic test with less color.

A surfing enthusiast who couldn't bare to hang up his wet suit for winter
has taken to the snow - with his surfboard in tow.

Charles Navillod, 26, braved the cold spells when he ventured out on his
surfboard in Tignes, France, in just his wetsuit, but after a few
attempts, mastered the art of snowboarding on a surfboard.

the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in North Slope, Alaska.

Seeing the Northern Lights is the most sought after travel experience in the
world, according to a recent study.

2013 marks the solar maximum, the peak in the 11 year cycle of solar
activity, and the effect is most intense around the equinoxes.
