I have no problem with guys taking dead days provided they have used all of their paid days first.

I won't use my personal days on them. I'm doing them a favor when they are finding work for the lower seniority drivers because I would otherwise work. I remember what it was like at the bottom. I use my personal time for the days I want/need off.

If you think starting at 9 sucks you should try starting at 9:30.

Here they post a schedule at the beginning of the week that says what day my route is cut and they have me forced to run the route next to mine which has some of my work. They claim the lower seniority drivers are scheduled off so they don't even show up.

Our low guys without start times have to be available up to a hour after last start time to receive a call, if they are unable to contact them, with witness, they get an occurrence, I believe.

We have 3 to 4 guys a day take a dead day here. Usually low seniority guys.
