Any news on possible layoffs in 2017? There is a lot of talk about Amazon taking over e.t.c. This peak season we were much lighter that last year. Right before peak started, it looked like volume drooped about 40%.

From what I have heard from our DM volume was up 23% over last year during most of peak

Where is this? We set records for volume in our small Midwestern hub.

Our center set new highs this peak. (16k) . From what I've heard peak was huge for company

People at my hub were telling me "20k is unheard of here" and 4 days in a row we did 23-25.

If we do ever lose Amazon, there will be layoffs. Or at least drivers getting bumped back into the hub. At least 1/3 of my deliveries are Amazon.

the top secret plan out of Atlanta is to layoff all employees and replace them with H-1B visas.
When they are fired or quit they must leave the USA.

You definitely don't work in a hub, if you are only doing 20k

Yeah our center record volume, then again Amazon hasn't started delivering around here.

We still hit record volume with Amazon delivering

I think our preload hit 160k on peak day. We've got 34 brand new FT driving positions up for bid right now, so no layoffs here.

We also set records in our medium sized, midwestern hub. Forecast was off today, but we still had 43 routes in and that will go up tomorrow and Thursday.
