I grew up in a time when the President would routinely comment on gays.
It was don’t ask don’t tell, traditional marriage, etc.
It was the country routinely saying gays were second class and not more important than Christian voters. No one had a problem with that virtue signaling. Now that the conversation has switched to hey we support gays, everyone wants to make it seem like this conversation is something that just never happened before.

Whether you like Trump or not you have to agree that him running has exposed how our country’s matrix system has worked while we just went along living our lives. The revelation of just how much our country and media is like other countries, we seen as corrupt, would of never been known to the extent that it is if Trump would of never become president. Of course some are glad for the corruption and some not but at least we can see it happening and are being shown how it works. Now that we know something is going on we can choose if we want the red pill or blue pill. It’s nice to have the knowledge of a choice.
The official charges don't accuse Trump of spying or selling out the country as some here have said. Most of them, 31 counts, were for the willful retention of classified documents. What's troubling to me is why after all these years of the Dems doing everything possible to ruin him did Trump give them this opportunity to run with these charges? Wasn't smart on his part. Doesn't matter if it's no big deal, etc. They were looking for anything they could go after him on and he gave it to them. Not smart.
That being said, according to a former Federal prosecutor and a university law professor, these kind of trials move at a glacial pace. It's very possible that Trump could win the election and be back in office before it even goes to trial. And he can legally pardon himself. In which case the Dems will be foiled yet again.
