Inflation is year over year for the month. What they don't tell you is inflation was up 7, 8, 9% for the previous year and the 3% it is now is the increase on the increase. So prices are still much higher. And they don't even include things like food and fuel.
Border crossings are way down because the State of Texas has put up barriers and troops on the Rio Grande. Actions that the Federal government is suing Texas over in court.
