President Trump

If you instruct somebody to commit felonies, you have committed felonies. And you can bet there's rock solid proof that Trump did so since he was mentioned in Cohen's charging documents.
According to former head of the Federal Election Commission paying hush money isn't a violation of campaign finance laws. If you can't get Hillary into a courtroom for what she did don't hold your breath getting Trump in one for campaign finance violations.

bill and Hillary are the bench mark. as long as you negate your beliefs in ethics by allowing the Clintons to run roughshod without accountability then trump deserves the same consideration.

Paying hush money in itself -> Not a violation of campaign finance law

Paying hush money to directly benefit your campaign -> Violation of campaign finance law

And that is a key point Ben Shapiro mentioned on his podcast the other day. The odds of being convicted in an impeachment trial for campaign finance violations alone post-Clintons are far less than they would have been they would have been 30 years ago.

And so far he hasn't done anything close to them. Trump has personal issues, but who doesn't?

We'll see. Will be humorous to see Dems wonder why Trump isn't being removed from office when they turned a blind eye to all that Hillary did.

I don't think they'll wonder. They just won't have the Republican votes in the Senate to convict unless Mueller or the SDNY drop some real bombshells.

wont get the votes in the house either. last thing Pelosi wants to do is embolden trump supporters by trying to run a sham impeachment

I just follow what's actually going on in the court system.

:censored2: house lawyer logic on your part

President Donald Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, may have been convinced by the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York to plead guilty to a supposed violation of campaign finance law, but that doesn’t mean that what happened is actually a federal crime.

In fact, neither the Federal Election Commission—which is the independent agency tasked with enforcing the Federal Election Campaign Act—nor its former commissioners would likely agree with the overaggressive view that the Southern District is taking. Indeed, the Southern District’s aggressive stance on this issue might have violated the Justice Department’s own policy.

Not based on election malfeasance. But the House investigation on all matters Trump should prove interesting starting with those pesky tax returns.

I dunno. If Trump weren't President right now, he probably would have been convicted of felonies right alongside Cohen.

Now, would it be a good idea to impeach in the House knowing it wouldn't get a conviction in the Senate as things stand right now? Maybe not. It probably would have a counterproductive affect for the Democrats.

As the saying goes, "If you come at the king, you best not miss."
