Is the Israeli treatment of Palestinians something we should emulate? Is the goal of the Trump wall to prevent illegal immigration? How does it prevent people overstaying their visas? Where would the wall go here?

Would putting a wall identical to the Israelis' at our border mean that we're treating illegal immigrants like Israel treats the Palestinians?
Sensible immigration policy/visa/law reform should be carried out simultaneously. I'd imagine that kind of geography would naturally be a point at which the full wall might not be necessary.
Hamas and Hezbollah have in their charters their desire to destroy Israel. Israel will get along with them much better when they stop trying to hurt Israelis.
It's been stated ad nauseam that the wall will go in where needed. Natural barriers won't require a wall.
