President Trump

ZERO! Last year and this year.
I already stated that the IRS never charges a penalty on my filings.
It was $10 one year when my taxes were over a half-million.

They always send me the forms to pay quarterly taxes and I always toss them in the trashcan.

Didn't IRS say they wouldn't hit people with penalties this year because of the withholding changes?

It will be fine

I don’t believe you. Post your entire unredacted return and we’ll take a look.

If I become President, I will definitely do that.
I quite frankly am not interested in the tax returns of any president, or anyone running for the office unless they have been a politician for a period of years before running for the nomination of their party.
Wealth, gained after being an office holder, is a different story. That's strictly my personal position.

..."I used to work for Adult Protective Services. We were trained to evaluate when a person was suffering from cognitive difficulties so we could refer them to doctors and services that could diagnose mental health problems and provide help for them. When someone speaks in a “word salad” it is one sign that they are probably suffering from cognitive decline. There are other signs that Trump exhibits as well, such as his Short attention span in briefings, his dislike of reading reports, and his difficulty pronouncing words. If Donald Trump had been my client, I would have referred him for further evaluation by a mental health professional based solely on his speech patterns and vocabulary. They have deteriorated significantly in the past 10 years or so.

I really do not like Trump as a person and hate his policies, but all that aside, it is pretty obvious to anyone who has ever worked in the mental health field that he really should have a thorough mental assessment. Many people who revile Trump may not realize that he is probably terrified and confused, because he likely realizes on some level that he is slipping mentally. Unfortunately, given Trumps character flaws, he reacts by becoming increasingly belligerent, angry, and defensive. It is frightening and dangerous for the President of the US to have these problems. The most frightening part may be the refusal on the part of his party leaders and followers to acknowledge that he has a serious cognitive issue"...

I would like to know if the person we are electing has respect for the law. It’s very likely that a person who cheats on his contractors, cheats on his spouse, cheats at golf, probably cheats on his taxes, too.

I don’t trust that person not to cheat me, or the country.

It’s happening in plain sight right now.

It happened in plain sight under Obama as well ... I don't recall you being concerned in his reign!

Topic Number 306 - Penalty for Underpayment of Estimated Tax
The United States income tax system is a pay-as-you-go tax system, which means that you must pay income tax as you earn or receive your income during the year. You can do this either through withholding or by making estimated tax payments. If you didn't pay enough tax throughout the year, either through withholding or by making estimated tax payments, you may have to pay a penalty for underpayment of estimated tax. Generally, most taxpayers will avoid this penalty if they either owe less than $1,000 in tax after subtracting their withholding and refundable credits, or if they paid withholding and estimated tax of at least 90% of the tax for the current year or 100% of the tax shown on the return for the prior year, whichever is smaller. There are special rules for farmers and fishermen, certain household employers and certain higher income taxpayers. For more information, refer to Publication 505, Tax Withholding and Estimated Tax.

Generally, taxpayers should make estimated tax payments in four equal amounts to avoid a penalty. However, if you receive income unevenly during the year, you may be able to vary the amounts of the payments to avoid or lower the penalty by using the annualized installment method. Use Form 2210.pdf, Underpayment of Estimated Tax by Individuals, Estates, and Trusts to see if you owe a penalty for underpaying your estimated tax.

The law allows the IRS to waive the penalty if:

  1. You didn't make a required payment because of a casualty event, disaster, or other unusual circumstance and it would be inequitable to impose the penalty, or
  2. You retired (after reaching age 62) or became disabled during the tax year or in the preceding tax year for which you should have made estimated payments, and the underpayment was due to reasonable cause and not willful neglect, or
  3. The underpayment was due to an inability to accurately calculate your estimated income tax payment due to the breadth of changes enacted by the tax reform.

How convenient. A philosophy specifically tailored for Trump. Here's a guy who has a history (proven) of lying about assets, valuations, and a plethora of other areas of specific interest to the IRS.

I think Trump is a tax cheat, and is probably grossly violating the Emoluments Clause. Please remember he was directly being paid by Daddy Drumpf's tax fraud for decades, absolutely had to know about it...and did zero.

He's also probably not a billionaire. Lets see the taxes.
