The estate tax was exempted (up to $5 million), and there were additional credits for college tuition and children.

Obama allowed the Bush tax cuts to continue. He also took less SS withholding out of paychecks, none of which was permanent. Trump and the Republicans gave greater tax cuts all around, especially the corporate rate. And removed many regulations Obama created that were an anchor in time and money on business. And are now seeking to make the cuts permanent. And the economy has boomed since they did this. So spin it any way you like, we were slogging along with anemic growth under Obama.
