Chapter and Verse, please, of where Jesus claimed to be "King of the Jews".
Apparently they thought He did and were offended?

Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.” ’ ”
John 19:21 NKJV

Jesus offense against His Chosen People (the Jews) was the statement " Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." John 8:58.

"...I am..."

The Great "I AM"

Jesus was condemned for claiming Godship. Blasphemy to the Jews, punishable by death.
I'm fine with that just dont have a strong sense that jesus ever accepted the title of king of the jews. As a godly figure that would have limited his reign to a select group instead of all mankind.

The Jews killed Jesus because he called himself the "King of the Jews" and claimed to be God.

No problems here.
Not exactly a retraction, but it’ll have to do, I guess.

Paul was the Apostle of the Gentiles, Peter was the Apostle of the Jews.

Did Peter concur with Paul's statement?
Definitely.
Evidently, Peter and Paul could "cross" teach, (lol) . It was Peter who converted the first Gentile. It was Paul who taught Peter to make no distinction when he confronted him because he withdrew himself and would not eat with Gentiles.
The Mosaic Law was nailed to the cross. All are under the law of Christ.
The gospel of Christ would include "those afar off'' Gentiles.
The Apostles did not preach and teach a different doctrine of Christ based on ones history. They did address problems that came up because of those different backgrounds.
