I never told anyone to stop smoking pot. I don't believe it is a sin. If they do they should be mindful and not get addicted.

Please quote me where I threw stones
I think it's very easy for us to justify our own actions in our minds...

Pot is addictive.

Addiction | Health Effects | Marijuana | CDC

If one justifies pot usage, and says it isn't a sin unless you get addicted, isn't that basically gambling?
You could say the same thing about crystal meth. It isn't a sin unless you get addicted, right?

The CDC says somewhere between 10% to 33% of pot users are addicted.
I don't know the statistics on meth, but I'm going to guess that the percentage is much higher.

At what point does gambling on an addiction become sinful?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Yes.

Anything can be an addiction. But some things are more prone to addiction than others. And some things are more harmful than others.

There isn't a clear line in the sand. But the question stands, what is a reasonable level of risk to take when you make your choices?
Is it a sin to gamble that using crystal meth won't result in getting hooked on it?

And from there, work your way down to pot, and other things. (Like my coffee.)

The part you're forgetting is you can't convince me that it is a sin other than your belittling attacks
I don’t feel that smoking pot is a sin anymore than having a beer is a sin. So long as it’s not a problem in your life. Others may differ, but it’s legal in many states, and the feds don’t seem interested in enforcing their law, so if you want to partake, go for it. I’m sure it’s been used for a long time and probably predates beer.

The Bible talks about intoxication.
And marijuana is a mind altering drug.

One can consume alcohol without getting drunk, but recreational pot usage has as its sole purpose, to "get high".
