Can we get some penalty language that penalizes the company if they don't get an agreement by the expiration date?

...would that penalty work both ways...?
It comes down to working conditions. You can work hard or you can work long, but you can’t do both.
$50 dollars a day for everyone if we work without a contract. As long as the company is making money no!
To be continued... I'm sure there are smarter guys on here who can think of some language that would make this work!
And I agree. People should not have a true direction of voting until they see some verbiage.I agree. But too many people are voting no without even being presented the contract. Do you think the company will offer much if they think we are a “no” anyway? Like picking up the hottest girl in the bar, if you don’t think you have a shot, why even try?
In my opinion they will offer a big signing bonus and let the part timers take control of the vote.I agree. But too many people are voting no without even being presented the contract. Maybe. I’ve said it before, I’m surprised my loader is completely dressed everyday, let alone mailing in a ballot. In my opinion they will offer a big signing bonus and let the part timers take control of the vote.
Offer him a $1000 bonus...Maybe. I’ve said it before, I’m surprised my loader is completely dressed everyday, let alone mailing in a ballot.
Don’t they try this every time? A signing bonus should never get to our plate. In my opinion they will offer a big signing bonus and let the part timers take control of the vote.
Have you been around long enough to remember dump the lump??Don’t they try this every time? A signing bonus should never get to our plate.
The 1997 UPS Strike: Beating Big Business & Business Unionism | Labor NotesI agree. But too many people are voting no without even being presented the contract. I don’t remember the slogan. Been here since 94.Have you been around long enough to remember dump the lump??
This was a little before then. Used to get a 20-30¢ raise and a $1000 bonus every DecemberI don’t remember the slogan. Been here since 94.
That’s a good read. I like the whistle idea. Just might try to implement that here.
It's definitely not going to be pretty this time. That’s a good read. I like the whistle idea. Just might try to implement that here.
How about a ton of grievances in a show of solidarity to voice the displeasure?for those who are 6 days a week and close to 70 hrs all during peak!!
@Bubblehead I enjoy your perspective. You gave me an X, and that’s fine. You don’t think the company is more prepared to deal with a strike than they were in 97? Why?No one has to drive to work with what we have on our mind, or how our back feels. I just have the feeling the company is more than readily armed to deal with a strike, and isn’t as intimidated by it as they would’ve been ten years ago.
