My 140k house in 96 ,, 7 rm ranch on .75 acre , now worth 440k ,, crazy ,, I couldn't afford to buy my own house , north eastern mass

Ct is just a bad high cost of living Especially down near NY border , they get areas where snow is bad like Hartford area ,., NH Is beautiful, but not much industry other than the tourism they count on , real estate taxes are very high , but no sales or income taxes , you can get a lot of bang for your Buck in NH ,, just be careful of guys like @BSWALKS he'll dump his leaves and snow in your yard

How is Maine??

Maine is a bit cheaper than NH , but a lot more lakes and lakefront property to buy , more expensive until your at least 3 to 4 hrs north of Mass border , this is my camp in Maine. My single uncle bought in 67 , left it to my brother and I ,, Gods country

I would go skiing at Saddleback in Rangely occasionally, very small town in the lakes region of ME. On one trip we go almost 3 ft over night!

Your mother could drive to Massachusetts and give birth to you , bring you home to her house in Maine and you could never leave the state till you die ,, you'll still-not considered a Mainer , lol

Clannish lot in New England. My sister in law married a guy from Texas, and they’ve been married over thirty years and have lived here all that time. He’s still introduced as being from Texas. Lol
