We always buy used cars, I read about people paying 70k for a new truck that just sounds crazy to me. We make good money at UPS but that's still a chunk of change.

I bought a brand new Mustang GT in 1986 ,, was 22 yrs old , saved my azzz off for down payment !! Was slut red with T roofs , 5 speed , no wife , played on 3 softball teams , had full beautiful brown hair and a beautiful members only coat ,, world buy the balls , I was the man !! I pulled it into the driveway. The old man comes out and says what'd you pay for that ,, I proudly told him 12K ,, he shook his head stamped out his Lucky Strike and says Jesus H Christ ,, I paid that for my house in 1962 !! I get it now !! I didn't then !

A real test of marriage ,,, only married two weeks , I came home from work , she was crying on the couch , she backed that 86 Stang into a beam in the garage at her office , that was in 88 ,, the Mustangs long gone , with my hair , members only coat , softball glove and 32" waist ,, kept her !! Hey , the girl can cook !!

My work car was the laughing stock of the center by the time I retired. Had it for 24 years.

It almost starts to become a challenge on how long I can keep this pos running with minimal major repairs..lol. The wife drives the good car in this family.
