Ok. Costs have gone up. You should work for your Medicare or buy insurance in the market.

Or, just skip insurance altogether.

So 75 yr olds, 82 yr olds are going to have to work to get government assistance? So basically you want able bodied adults to get assistance without strings attached, and if they can't then no one should?

Never was their intent to throw grandma off the cliff and it's not your intent to end government dependency either.
I'm serious about everybody paying. With the tax cuts, even with a booming economy, entitlement reform has to take place. No half measures. That means everyone pays for the "credit card " we've been living off for 40 years. Do I think they'll do it? Hell no.

Nobody over 80 should have to work. I'll take that 75 year old to shovel my drive and mow my lawn though. All in the interest of keeping them healthy though and off the government trough of Medicare.

You DO know that we pay a monthly fee for Medicare. It's not free and we pay another fee for a supplemental to cover what Medicare doesn't.
