Do you guys lose your seniority if you bid into another delivery center in the same building?
No, if a bid goes up during a non contract open bid (every 2 years, 3 if during a contract year) it goes by classification, regardless of the center. The driver retains their seniority to the new center. No cross bidding is allowed during open bidding.

Do you carry your seniority for everything?
Yes, the company seniority moves with you uneffected of course. The only time you'd lose your seniority is if you went into a different classification and came back, like FT driver to combo to driver. You'd lose all your seniority if you ever came back to driving and you start at the bottom of the combo seniority when you won the bid if you were the highest FT driver in the building that wanted it.

We never lose ours regardless of how many times we change classification.
That's the way it should be!!!! In my experience it's the guys who are off the street or young guys who win the "Ups lottery" and sneak into feeder who don't want company seniority to prevail....
