Run the government like a business.Tax reform. With budget deficits? Where are the budget hawks?
Oh. Cut taxes, spur investment, blah, blah, blah...
It doesn't work.
Government is not a business. Never has been, never will be.Run the government like a business.
Step 1 - reduce revenue.
Step 3 - Profit
It's called a prebate. How so? Is that a real thing?
Again, not being snarky or trying to be a b...
I'm sincerely curious.
Is that why Trump scares you so much?Government is not a business. Never has been, never will be.
No. I'm amazed people have been drawn into the idea that the two ever could be run the same way.Is that why Trump scares you so much?
How about the people that never ever pay any taxes? Now they will pay.OK, that seems like an added tax on people who aren't all that rich.
Are you a proponent of this 'fair tax'?
Explain it to me in a different way so it doesn't seem like it's another mechanism to funnel money from poor people to rich people...
You can afford $12.30 you cheap bastard. How about the people that never ever pay any taxes? Now they will pay.
No more under the table. I guess the price of back alley blow jobs will have to go up by 23%
If I get to keep my whole take home pay! Hell yeah. You can afford $12.30 you cheap bastard.
Not exactly but the US Government could use a lot of fiscal analysis and responsibility as used in the business world.No. I'm amazed people have been drawn into the idea that the two ever could be run the same way.
Deficits don't matter when republicans are in charge.Tax reform. With budget deficits? Where are the budget hawks?
Oh. Cut taxes, spur investment, blah, blah, blah...
It doesn't work.
Or is it the Government politicians and employees don't get it and fight it.Sure. That's a long way from "running it like a business". Business CEO's don't seem to get that.
That's BS ... not if they want to stay in office.Deficits don't matter when republicans are in charge.
That's BS ... not if they want to stay in office.
I agree that the Old School Establishment Republicans spent money like drunk sailors.Bless your heart!
Mick Mulvaney, who was the most insane deficit hawk in existence, came around under the Trump regime, and somehow justifies the (par for the course) amount of debt that Trumps' plans will add to the deficit.
Is it your assertion that Republican voters will hold Trump and his team to the fire for adding to the deficit?
Lulz.
My impression is that Republicans talk a good game about reining in spending, and not adding to the deficit, but at the end of the day, they're big spenders just like Democrats are.
Are you asserting that voters will punish Republicans that promote policies that add to the deficit?
Hahahahahahaha
More tax revenue should be a high priority.Without the difficult political decision to make deep cuts in entitlement spending, the easy choice to cut taxes leads only to even larger deficits.
