Takes a special kind of stupidity to not understand (or possibly just not care) that leaving packages at mailboxes would mess a route up not only for you, but more importantly for the poor sucker that has to run your route when you're off. I have exactly two long driveways I can't get down due to branches or turn around issues. Even then I don't leave at the mailbox, but I'll walk it a ways up so it can't be seen from the road and bag it and leave it where the customer can see it.

Contractual issues with the buyout notwithstanding, I'm sure the company already has a rough idea of how many drivers they want to eliminate, and they're going to get rid of them one way or another. If not enough people take the buyout, they will just start poking them in the bottom.

Win ..Win scenario..destroy the young ones’s bodies and souls without hope for the ability to reach the minimum retirement age. Get rid of the aging slow old timers and eliminate or better yet rearrange their bid positions for peanuts.

Time for corporate to make the hostile work environment “Bigger not Better”…getting angry at your supervisors or managers is pointless, they are even worse off and absolutely no protection.
