Ok, then I guess it’s settled, ups is lying. Absolutely nobody is getting a buyout offer. All I am saying is that if any money is offered to a driver who was planning on retiring anyway, then it’s a gift. plain and simple.
I never said that :censored2:, all I said was it will not be a gift there will definitely be some strings attached. I worked there for 33 years I know how they work.

We’ll see if any truth to this: Only for large hubs across the country
6,000 pkg drivers 1,000 feeder drivers $1,800 per year of service up to 30 years Let them know by end of August leave October 1

Might help to know where this gossip is coming from.

Right now there's a lot of opinions floating around, but I'm curious where you heard this one from.

Yeah don't buy that number, it's too low for anyone to give up the benefits. Also don't know how they can select which buildings drivers get an offer. I know its not a contract thing but does seem like a legal thing.

The Facebook group is pretty adamant its 10K a year, but this is hearsay from another driver I don't have a Facebook account

OhShoot

Middle fingers up!!
Food for thought...

Lets say I take the buyout. Ups will more than likely promote from within. That individual will have to go to driving school and qualify i would assume before they'd let me leave...might be awhile b4 a driver just packs up and leaves

It’s definitely not a gift. The company has a plan. It may not be evident to some people, but they always have a plan. They don’t give anything for free as a gift. They do it for a reason.

I can’t imagine them trying to give people a buyout and not wanting them to stay through peak this season they would be completely crushed if they didn’t but who knows
