Teamster Buyout?

I covered a pick up once, packed with over 70s. I asked them what’s up with these? They said the usual driver loaded them himself. I’m in a p-500 lower than the dock. I said nope, not today, I’ll call the center. And they weren’t happy either. I told the shipper it would be awhile or we could come back tomorrow. It was 15 minutes to closing time. They ended up loading the truck. Bottom line, eff the shipper, eff UPS. Get help. The customer does not have to help.
Omg... Quit crying!

Like I says that guy has no clue what he's talking about about. He's just regurgitating :censored2: he read 5 minutes before on reddit. He gets paid for getting people to click on his link doesn't matter if he gets it right or not.
EXACTLY!! Was a horse crap article saying drivers already rejecting it, yet nobody has been offered anything to reject.

Huh, that's interesting as I just assumed every building had Porter's.
Maybe some other places hire outside cleaning companies.

But ya, we make about .50 cents less than Package Car. 30 minute paid break is definitely sweet. Don't force us to take lunch, so at 8 hour mark we are at time clock punching out and cutting out.
Things like vacation, pension and insurance all stay the same.
Same scheduled yearly raise amounts as Package Car.
Your situation is very much the exception, not the rule. Only happens
in strong locals. BUG would know the numbers.

If investors don't like what they're reading in the tea leaves maybe that says something about the direction we're headed in, but the guy that wrote that article has no clue what he's talking about about. We have a no strikes no lockouts clause and the nlrb case he referenced is from 2022 about 2 UPS supply chain solutions buildings. Even if a court awarded 10s of millions of dollars of compensation that isn't even a drop in the bucket for a company that posted 1.2 BILLION net income last quarter alone.

It was obviously written by AI.

WOW!! How awesome that he showed up at a facility and shook some hands.
One of the things I hear many people say about leadership either at the local level or the international level is that “they never come around until it’s time for a vote” .

Well, Sean does come around even when it’s not about vote time. Don’t get me wrong. He does have plenty of flaws, but that’s not one of them.

Seems like he would be damned if he did and damned if he didn’t on this issue.

He does this all over the country.... all the time. Where have you been ?
You're right, I suppose I would have to show up for work more often in past years to know!! :) :)

I'm available nowadays if he wants to stop by and say hi. Maybe we can do a photo op of him driving around the "Zamboni" floor scrubber making the floors all nice and pretty.

But when you get that text as a driver (before I became a Porter) at 6-7am asking if I want the day off and don't even have to show up, well it's just hard to pass on buddy.
They knew when I punched in that they were gonna eat a good amount of OT and/or send some drivers to help me.

I still have some wonderful videos saved in my cell of me walking off residential stops with me babbling along the way that you might enjoy. They took I'd say 5-8 minutes per stop because I wouldn't park the truck anywhere it did not belong.

No big deal, when you’re at the top people are gonna shoot you and you have to be able to have thick skin.

I was just pointing out that even with the flaws and mistakes the guy does enjoy being out among the membership there’s been a lot of people at the leadership level who absolutely can’t stand being around membership and would rather be locked in a room full of suits all day.

“That’s not your truck. It’s the company’s truck.” Says the supervisor who’s going to have to figure out how to handle the big dookie I’m going to leave in the back of mine on my last day!
I’m gonna park mine, first stop….find me a nice ”retirement gift” if you will….remove the steering wheel and throw in the woods and place a large human sized stuffed bear, in full UPS uniform in the drivers seat.…put a pad lock on the rear door chain, after I have removed every label from every box….thanks for the memories ladies.

Somewhat humorous, although I’m not gonna spend that much time trying to get my “payback” because frankly my whole career has been paid back to this company and their dumb choices.

I’ve turned every one of their dumb management choices into a gold mine for my personal bank account. That’s enough payback in my opinion.

At the time of the last IBT election I was very young in my career and knew nothing of internal union politics. I voted for Sean because he showed up at our building and shook my hand and the other guy didn't and I still think that was a damn good reason to vote for him.
