The contract is also there to protect the members from potential injury. Why is it hiding behind the contract when an employee follows it? Just because he could lift the over 70, doesn’t mean he should. It’s against the contract. I was no champion weight lifter, alligator wrestler, but at 6 feet 190, I was strong like bull. And guess what, brown nose? I called for help when I had an over 70. Because that’s the way you follow the contract that we fought and went on strike for. You’re a disgrace to all Teamsters everywhere.

Ridiculous. I was embarrassed to even ask. I made sure all my shippers knew they didn’t have to help. Many calls to the center
They want free labor is all. I started calling when the furniture deliveries started, and they were not happy.. could I do it alone, absolutely, usually..should I , absolutely no.. had I gotten hurt, I would have heard, failure to follow orders.
