When the pension bailout was first announced i immediately reached out to my financial adviser to discuss our options. I chose the rollover.

In my mind, they will offer less to those about to retire, if they legally can.. just enough to get them gone..and a meager amount to those with 15 to 25..but it might be enough to get them to go. Just a thought. No evidence. Then the rest with no leadership will get beat to death, as they will have no clue how to do what the senior workers have done for decade,. Stand up. And there will be no one left to ask. They won't vote, they won't own a union book.
