Rod knows UPS'ers ARE cheap. Seen it many times. Even at our monthly retired UPS Drivers breakfast some of them don't tip worth a damn.

I've told the story before about when we had a drivers sort and I tried to get 2 bucks each off the drivers to buy a cheap boom-box to listen to in the morning while doing the sort. No luck. Only about half would donate 2 lousy bucks. If I remember right i finally brought one of my own in.

My wife was a waitress at a bar we hung out in after work and the guys did tip her good there (that's only because she was hot and wore short skirts back then). She said the worst tippers were school teachers.

It was different when everyone knew everyone else and had an attitude of willing to work each other. Not like the selfishness everyone for themselves now.

There was a lot more camaraderie in the old days. I even remember UPS having dinners for both hourly and management and their family’s.

We had safe driving parties where the company ran an open tab at the bar all night. Some of the best drunks I had were at UPS Safe Driving Parties.
