So what their doing is making more jobs at the 22.3 rate and not the equivalent 22.2 rate correct?
What they will do is siphon off pkg car classification work to the hybrid runs, reducing ot, and dilute the paychecks of the ups drivers who waited in line to get a ft driving job.

it really dont make sense. These people are just going to be weekend people. However some of these buildings dont have the volume
You dont think that the company doesn't and wont continue to hold volume in hubs to fuel those weekend routes?
Think ahead of your nose here.

What don't you understand people are complaining about working over 60 hours a week? I baffled I thought this was a big issue of management want 70 hour work week. I guess unless you on the 9.5 list but at that point your choosing to make less.
Why do you think paying drivers less per hour makes excessive overtime go away?
The new drivers in my hub are getting absolutely pounded with overtime while the center cuts routes everyday.

So you think UPS is going to hire 15 drivers in a 60 driver center? Not happening

I was thinking these hybrids would replace FT drivers. So in a 60 driver center, 45 would be FT and 15 would be Hybrid Second Class Part Time Ground drivers. But I guess they would be hired in addition to current FT drivers. I just hope there is language protecting FT routes, even so UPS will try everything to undermine it.

They will use them for other things.. Tuesday thru Saturday or Sunday thru Thursday...
Just like surepost.... they needed to have this to compete with smartpost FedEx and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND To what surepost should have ever been....this is the problem we have with ups...they will take these hybrid drivers and twist them into something we won’t even recognize in 5 years.....
