If these hybrids only worked driving on sat and sun and ONLY in emergencies where the center had a ton of call outs.... if they are going to regularly work on the weekdays then it’s a no from me.... if there isn’t language in there to state that these hybrids can if they want move up to top rate weekday driving then it’s a no vote from me.... we HAVE to have very specific language in here.... the weekend work was where ups wanted driving help so these hybrids should only work weekends .. unless like I said they have a dire emergency where they would be used ....

Here’s what will happen

Load the lower paid drivers up on the weekends cut routes Monday

It seems hybrid is locked in, next thing im curious about is what are they going to do about bringing hours down for drivers and what they are going to do about making sure off the street pters arent making the same as someone with years already worked.
I HATE THIS ATTITUDE!!!!! It's what stuck us with teamcare.

Hybrid drivers are not locked in. I haven't spoken with or seen one person on here that says hell yes give us hybrid drivers. So guess what VOTE NO!!!!

We were told last contract the company wants out of healthcare. Well tough :censored2:ing :censored2:.

We as members should vote this down like the flaming pile of dog poo it is. Go to your union meetings afterwards and tell them to pass the word on to Taylor that nobody wants it and he should go do his job which is get the members what they want!!!!!

Sorry just saw @Vanakka512 response.

So make that ONE person that thinks this is a great idea.

Let's do the math...
$6 per hour less than regular driver rate (or long term part timer OT rate)
If they work them 50 hrs a week x 52 weeks= $17,160 savings per year.
If they put on 20,000 Hybrids...
$343,200,000 savings per year. 5 year deal...
$1.7 Billion savings.

Of course the savings will be far more than that since they will work the Hybrids for straight time on days that we would get Holiday pay or double time. And this is using top rate of $30 per hour which the hybrids wont see right away vs OT for top rate drivers...

For that concession, we should accept less than inflation raises?

Actually not trolling man, at my hub the part timer's need to advance into better jobs sorry this isn't the truth you want to hear but its a fact. Why do part timer make 200-300 a week and fulltimer make 800-900 a week at start pay and 2.5k a week at top pay what do you expect?
This is not going to add a slew more full time jobs. No matter what the company and IBT is trying to sell you. All smoke and mirrors.

How would UPS hire those drivers?

Dear Fedex driver,

Tired of getting screwed? Come on over. You’ll still get screwed but you’ll be paid better. Not as well as in years past, but still better.

UPS
With posts like this ups just fired the entire hr and marketing departments. Nice job
