Thanksgiving week

I will enjoy the double time (vacation+Holiday) and take the week off.

I agree, but I am WAY to far down the totem pole to get that week off. So I take the money while they're giving it.

We get 8 hours of holiday pay for black Friday. Since we are working on a UPS holiday, in our supplement, we get double time for working a holiday. Any OT is triple time (1.5 x double time). So, when you factor in the holiday pay, we get paid triple time all day long.

That’s not triple time. Why do people insist on calling it that? If you stayed home you’d make 8 hours. Don’t add it to your workday. You’re getting it either way.

Actually, our supplement does call for triple time after eight if forced in on a holiday. Makes it really hard to move for the first few hours....

I live in WI. Couldn't get that week for first 20 plus years then when I could I didn't take it. Always a 3 day week for me.

And yes, we do. We get double time for working the holidays and triple time after 8.

They took it out in our supplemental this year. They want to give us one rover for it. We feel it's worth two because of the pay structure. One of the big reasons our local told us to vote down the supplemental.

Yep that's the way I've always looked at it. If they are willing to pay double time it's worth 2 holidays or option days.

I own almost 1800 acres in Wisconsin.
About 1200 is tillable the other is Prime Deer habitat in Pierce and Pepin County.

I wish the days of unlimited 3 dollar over the counter Antlerless tags would come back.
Think they are 20 bucks now with a cap that changes each year.
