What Trump and his MAGA crowd have brought to politics:

  1. Fact checking is censorship.
  2. A reality they don't like is "fake news."
  3. Lies are "alternative facts."
  4. Empathy for people who are marginalized or suffering is "woke."
  5. Enforcement of laws against MAGAs or their supporters is "lawfare" or "political prosecution."
  6. Being ethical is "virtue signaling."

7. Managing to be on the minds and lips of his detractors 24/7
8. Somehow still having a better than average shot at winning.

See number 7 if you’re wondering number 8 is possible

Number 7 never fails to crack me up. As if the guy speaks normally, doesn't spew ignorant nonsense and just wants to be left alone!

Have you actually listened to Harris speak? Trump has his own idiosyncrasies and misinformation at times, but at least he speaks to his listeners as if they are adults, and not second graders like Harris does.

In the 2020 election cycle, tech industry donations to Democrats far outpaced those to Republicans. According to data from the Center for Responsive Politics, 93% of political donations from employees of Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft went to Democrats.

Yeah, because those employees share values more closely aligned with the Democratic Party. This 93% number doesn't surprise me one bit.

I’m saying he’s being a drama queen. We give money to Democrats disproportionally as a union because our ROI is better with the Democratic Party. He knows this.
Maybe he’s saying the ROI on both has been pretty poor and we’ve been settling, shrinking, stagnant and having less power year after year

Biden went out of his way to save $2.2 billion in our pensions. I’d say that’s a strong signal that at least the Biden wing of the party is pro-labor union. No?
I think it’s deeper than that. Would it have been necessary had one party not passed the deregulation or NAFTA giving power to the other party that they say is against us in the past 40 years as O’Brien said? Fixing something that your decisions. broke isn’t a great deal of help. Just a couple of items that seem to get overlooked when the people that broke something swoop in and say “hey we fix this now Make sure you give us all the credit for the good.”

Make no mistake. I do give Biden credit, but would it have been necessary?

Is it against the rules for us to ask are we getting our moneys worth when we really haven’t been able to grow in the last 40 years?

I think we have to face the uncomfortable truth that a lot of our jobs at UPS are directly linked to NAFTA and other free trade deals. We move a LOT of stuff that’s only being shipped because it’s cheaper to manufacture overseas over the last few decades. It’s been a huge boon to our business.
