Not a bad point, it is a slippery slope.

There should be some rules about purposely spreading lies, similar to slander laws, but censorship always makes me nervous

I’d rather we do a better job of teaching people to ask for sources and be able to learn how to tell misinformation on their own

Falsifying business records is a misdemeanor in New York. There has to be another crime also to make it a felony.
