Well, the scanners never pick them up from a drivers standpoint. From a company standpoint, they cost 1000 times more than a normal ole PAL label.
Any word if they will try to revert back? Now at our little podunk center sure has helped the misload situation.

No I haven't heard anything TBH.
I'm glad it's helped at your center. We haven't had the same luck. And most of the time, they won't have us run them, just sheet as Missed, no big deal. Just wild.

I would say i average 1 misload a month now that isnt a bad pal/out of sync. When i used to probably average 35-40 a month. Id say thats a pretty big improvement.

Yes, for now.
There's a 5 phase plan on implementing the RFID system. Phase 1 was done. Phase 2 is now in testing.
The labels are more expensive. It's not worth the cost when only phase 1 is done. Once phase two is pushed out, they will come back. At least for a while. They may go away again until phase 3.

Haven't gotten exact info on each phase, just some possible features. Things like shelves having light strips with Section the package is near lighting up and the truck beeping at the loader if they carry in a RFID for another truck.

phase 5 is no diad. When you enter the truck a light comes on telling you if the package is supposed to be in the truck. A light will indicate what shelf the package goes on. When your on route and go in the back for package selection a light will appear telling you where the packages for that stop are.

get rid of all office chairs….implement standing desk, close off the hot water valves in bathroom, no more ac in office, save that for the drivers on road, take back credit cards, stop printing reports, No more pcm….so many ways to save a buck
No more bottled water in the center.
