You're not being very specific. You think that trans women need their own classificafion for sports? Or in the eyes of the law? I say the law and government ought not be in the business of making those distinctions. As for sports, there are plenty of leagues for people too unathletic to compete at higher levels, I don't know that I think schools should provide them.

I'm not making any moral judgment. I believe that people need to be as free as possible to become the best versions of themselves as possible. And though I believe gender dysphoria is a mental illness, I don't believe it is of such a nature that people ought to be compelled to receive treatment. That sort of thing is always abused to justify infringing on people's rights. But I do believe that those who wish to seek treatment should have that option available without stigmatization.

Government is already making those distinctions though and have showed an interest in making sure the two recognized genders man and woman receive proportionately equal spending.

I don’t think it is as simple as just saying compete against the sex you were born as. Transgender men receive testosterone as part of their HRT. You would have roided up athletes competing against natural athletes. No matter what, transgenders competing with their gender identity or with their actual sex presents an unfair competitive disadvantage for women. It should be a seperate but equal situation just like women and men’s sports or all transgender athletes should compete with men and be allowed on men’s teams.

I’m open minded to the government treating these people equally. I don’t have any hatred or disgust in my heart for young transgender students who want to compete in school athletics. The only concern I have is what about the cisgender girls who also want to compete?
