You would have to make $5,300 a month to equal $3,000 a month in 2000Technically, they’ve barely paid in since 2008

I rest my case.
The demise of Central States started when Jimmy Hoffa Sr. Was forced to turn control of it over to the government. And I have no issues with that, or you. The option was available to you and you took it. Hell, I probably would have also.
I'm glad you retired and never looked back. And again, not your fault. But that was the start of the demise of Central States.
My case is you gave me and others a hard time for retiring at 55. I’m no different than Rod and YOU said you would’ve done the same. Listen I’m done with this stupidity of yours my decision to retire when I did is the best thing I ever did and for the next 7 years it’s guaranteed in full unless UPS goes under and I highly doubt that’s going to happen. After that they still pay half. So you think what you want, keep working till you’re 65 or wtf ever you think to save your pension the rest of us will enjoy ours. What case do you rest?
I never blamed @rod. The option was available and he took it. I don't have an issue with that. I blamed the Union and Company for agreeing to that option in the first place. They could not afford it.
Technically, they’ve barely paid in since 2008
It was zero for a few years after 2008 I don’t remember what year they started paying the 25% again. Such an awful run company.Did it ever drop below 25%...not counting when they just flat refused to pay recently?

I was a witness to the the first vote taken to give Yellow the concessions they said they had to have to stay in business...I'm shocked they made it this longIt was zero for a few years after 2008 I don’t remember what year they started paying the 25% again. Such an awful run company.
No not a hard time, but said I/we shouldn't saying we'll drain our pension.I never gave you a hard time for retiring. I never blamed you. The option was there. Take it.
I had an issue with the Union agreeing to it when they new there was not enough money in the fund to pay for it.
Drain that sucka one check at a time.No not a hard time, but said I/we shouldn't saying we'll drain our pension.
I'm out...do what you feel is best for you.
As long as my goes into my account...I'm good.Drain that sucka one check at a time.
1st of the month baby.As long as my goes into my account...I'm good.

Whatever. Blame whoever you feel if it makes you feel better. Rod is still collecting after all these years I suspect so will I after just as much time. If you’re upset about what the Union has done for our pension’s so be it.You're out?
Go then. Tell me I'm wrong and then bail.
I never said you should not have retired and drained the pension fund. I said it should not have been offered. You guys retiring drained the fund. But, I never said you shouldn't have. It was not your fault. It was offered, so take it.
I don't blame you one bit. I blame the Union for negotiating it.

A lot of it was politics so certain members could get reelected againWhatever. Blame whoever you feel if it makes you feel better. Rod is still collecting after all these years I suspect so will I after just as much time. If you’re upset about what the Union has done for our pension’s so be it.
Gotdamn rightA lot of it was politics so certain members could get reelected again
They raise the pension because the funds was doing good at the time instead of giving the 13th paymentGotdamn right
Observer, I was as well.I was a witness to the the first vote taken to give Yellow the concessions they said they had to have to stay in business...I'm shocked they made it this long
I don't know if witness is the right word...I was there to make sure the vote was conducted properly.
They have to be like insurance companies and continually model/project.What's really funny....
Are the people that blame the Teamsters, for the poor performance of the fund.
