After your nap?P.S. Rod isn't mad at anyone---Rod don't get mad---Rod gets even.
After your nap?
A lot of it was politics so certain members could get reelected again
We gave it up anyway in 2008.Never give up the pension. Never….
They knew what was up. Remember someone assured them they would pay out and makeup for shortfall. No one does this out of kindness. No one.We gave it up anyway in 2008.
I’m certainly knew of the short form, but you have to remember UPS is obligated by law to make up the short falls. Before the recent bail out UPS, unfunded liabilities were unbelievable. They knew what was up. Remember someone assured them they would pay out and makeup for shortfall. It’s a slow bleed. We just saw yellow. They kept moonwalking with them.I’m certainly knew of the short form, but you have to remember UPS is obligated by law to make up the short falls. Before the recent bail out UPS, unfunded liabilities were unbelievable.
Exactly. UPS wouldn't "have" the pension. Pretty sure it's all negotiated and covered in the contract. Lol.We gave it up anyway in 2008.
Socialist propagandaAnatomy of a sellout: UPS tentative agreement includes two-tier wages for part-timers, freezes to pension contributions for some
In the hours after the Teamsters announced its “historic” deal, UPS workers are uncovering massive betrayals in whatever information has been released so far.www.wsws.org
But for other areas, the situation is even worse. Pension contributions in the Teamsters Western Conference will be frozen under the next five years. This has prompted outrage among drivers and other full-time workers. “This is simply the largest betrayal in the history of the [Western Conference]!” one worker wrote on a widely-used message board. “Those who are trustees need to resign immediately from the [pension fund] and should be totally and completely kicked out and brought up on charges for selling the members out.”
@Wally I can understand your disappointment, but if you keep referencing world socialist Website, you’re doing yourself and your cause a disservice. That’s not a frozen pension. They are still getting contributions, and should be able to continue to grow the value of their fund. And I’m laughing that you would use this Socialist source brother.Anatomy of a sellout: UPS tentative agreement includes two-tier wages for part-timers, freezes to pension contributions for some

So my only beef is with giving more to certain pension plans, less to others. Raw deal.OK. Now your finally starting to blame the correct people. This has nothing to do with the TA. If you feel that $1500/mo pension increase over the next 5 years sucks, than replace the board of the Western Pension Fund. But, damn, $1500/ mo over the next 5 years? They did their job. Once you get an accounting degree, a labor degree, and decide that the actuaries of the Western were wrong, shut up.
Be outraged all you want. The contributions were frozen, but the pension will still increase. Again, you are looking for any reason, even the slightest, to strike.
I got news for you. You will be on your own. I will not walk the line next to you.
Will the west vote no on the national and supplement? So my only beef is with giving more to certain pension plans, less to others. Raw deal.
Young guys just see the money, part time doesn't bother to vote so maybe it has no trouble passing. We keep having inflation and if health care costs shoot up these pensions might have funding problems. Will the west vote no on the national and supplement?
