Not even close to being true. No one wants a strike. Even the rumor of a strike 1997 took them 3 to 4 years to rebuild volume los from that strike

I agree with you, but public support will not be for the union when people are not getting xmas gifts. That's why the union will wait.

Talking in purely theoretical terms, if there was to be a strike after the new year we lose all of our leverage with the company and we'll get jerked around and in the long term we'll get FEDEX'D. Now I'm a very new employee but If I weren't, a strike before peak with the threat of continuing into the peak season should be enough to scare the suits, no?

I imagine we get a second contract with almost nothing changed and are then told it's a final offer so it can be forced if under 50% vote.
