The ( OFFICIAL ) angry Contract results thread!

After this voting result should I try to drive or become a part time supervisor? I’m probably the best unloader in my building but it’s pretty miserable

You should take your work ethic and focus completely on a project of your own. You'll suffer in the short term but UPS + teamsters is a dead end. The writing has been on the wall. A tough pill to swallow I understand. Imagine what the next contract will bring. Nothing good!

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
The reply would be "the union is you so do something about it". Unfortunately, the game is rigged. Good luck changing it at this point. Teamster union must turn to ashes and rise to something better. Anyone continuing to pay union dues is sub 70 IQ and diagnosed with mental retardation. Intellectually functioning at a very low level. The irony is they WANT you to drop out of the union. That's the goal! Either way, you lose. At least in the short term, you're saving a few $$. The teamsters are cooked. After this con job, the turnout for the next contract will be 30% or less. Imagine, this is what a sociology degree and a seminar in union busting can do to a bunch of morons.
What's frustrating is we did do something. We voted the :censored2: out but

Seriously?
I've never seen so many uninformed people in my life

No wonder this contract got rammed up our ...

When was the last time you saw a union rep talking to new members? Even a 15 minute talk and a contract? What does that tell you? Open your eyes. The union is BUSTED.

Oh of course it's done on purpose. That's what happens when you make part-timers expendable. They become disengaged and it becomes easier to control labor. It's classic divide-and-conquer strategy.

Yep. Wait until the RPCDs and 22.4s have to fight each other for scraps in the next Contract year.

Leave

Even without this contract it's very hard to see a path as a ups man being a viable career for 30 years now.

Absolutely. It is a tough pill to swallow with 10 years in myself but it's over. Putting another 10 in would be a major mistake. This job is now for those already locked in a nearing retirement and as a first job for college kids.

KILL KILL!!
If you think about it like this. The voting process has never been easier. As you know it’s all electronic. Ups Freight got 67 percent of the membership to vote. You at UPS got 44%. Who’s fault is it really. We made it so easy to vote. We sent out more information than ever and still the membership can’t be bothered to vote. How do you reason with this logic?

What kind of message would that send to all other small and large labor unions around the world . Why have a union. Why do we pay UNION DUEs if our voice can not be heard. All past contracts had fewer votes cast .if you want everyone one to vote I challenge you to mak it mandatory somehow ((like voting booths in front of workplace ). I challenge you to do this and guarantee that the percentage will be more then 54% NO . The votes not casted from remaining employeess Are from

the part timers who can’t afford a phone to place thier vote because of the low pay they are receiving. !!!!! Nor do they give a :censored2: about voting because they
do not plan on staying here at UPS....also was this mabey a plan all along because a lot of ups teamsters are asking if they withdraw from the union can they still keep thier job as employee of UPS Was this a UNION BUSTING PLAN?
