PA. This was AM.Where? I started at 9.00 decades earlier.
Is it the unskilled night shift that got that wage? Must be different elsewhere
I don’t hate them. I love them, most the time. If they make me deliver them, it will guarantee me 9.5 and since they’re usually on the other side of town I try to plan my lunch around eating at a place I’m not normally able to. essentially they’re paying me triple time to eat a nice lunch nowhere near near me.Why do you people get so upset about misloads? Serious question.
I love misloads. Especially ones that are 40 miles away. Easiest money youll ever make as a package car driver. Why do you people get so upset about misloads? Serious question.
Appreciate the response. It’s definitely different all over the country. The money is different now than thenPA. This was AM.
I was a lazy package car driver. And I'm a lazier feeder driver. I put on up to 70 lbs in package at one point. Very easy to get the job done if you're lazy and have your route down pat and your customers trained.Lol LAZY package car drivers is a myth. And the idea that even 20% of the On car supervisors now. Could do an OJS ride that was meaningful is actually hilarious. Place is being run by highschoolers. I forgot more than they ever knew, and they constantly need to change their diapers.
Back then UPS paid way above minimum wage (think 3X+) they had the choice to hire who they wanted as an employer of choice - hasn’t been this way for 2 decades. Because they hired quality people, they could promote exclusively from within. The next 2-3 years will suck as management will only get worse. That’s 26.76 in todays “dollars”.
You might have been a lazier package car driver, but you still weren’t lazy my friend compared to 90% of the other population the “laziest” UPS driver probably does more physical work in one day the most do all week.I was a lazy package car driver. Exactly.Hey slow down, I said 90%.
And you don’t deliver drive, you pretend to deliver drive just like you pretend to be a good teamster.
The grind of doing it every day is quite different than what your candy ass does.
